About Us
History
Emerge AEC was formerly Emerge.Construction, a virtual networking group hosted by the Central Virginia CSI chapter. The group would meet each month for a zoom presentation, as a way to stay connected across the construction industry. It was an opportunity to keep communication lines between established professionals, reach out to the emerging professionals, and continue industry engagement during a global pandemic. Emerge.Construction quickly grew to include professionals across the country and as time went by, it became clear that this effort could evolve into a greater platform with the leadership of the younger generation. Charles Hendricks asked Caitlin Morgan, Hana Nguyenky, and Julie Foley to be that leadership. That is the birth of Emerge AEC.
Mission Statement
Emerge AEC is committed to improving communication between emerging professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction by building community, supporting career growth, and elevating the industry as a whole.
Emerge AEC Today
We are establishing ourselves as a free resource for people of all experience levels, who are emerging in their career paths, by helping to connect them with professional organizations, communities, and events.
Encourage. Engage. Experience.
We are here to give support, confidence, and hope to those looking to receive it. We are ready to participate with and become involved in your growth. We are happy to share encounters, observations, and practices with you.
Our founders are all volunteers as professional resources, each with a unique background and individual story. Their involvement with Emerge AEC is their sole expression, and not to be attributed to any other entity, unless stated otherwise.
Emerge AEC is an intersection of stories, a community-driven gathering, for a community-made platform. Please join us if you can relate to any of our stories, or have a story of your own that you’d like to share. We’d love to meet with and get to know you!
